Here’s where you come in:

As Technical Director, Data Responsibility, you will transform WVI’s disaster management field operations from passive analogue data users to intentional digital users and champions of the digital rights, privacy, and protection of the vulnerable people World Vision works with. It is primarily aimed at building people centered approaches around how affected people data is handled and ensure affected people have a direct say into this. You will help ensure field operations understand how to practically implement digital governance, digital rights, and data responsibility principles into their projects and programmes. This requires a deep understanding of the theory and the unique ability to practically translate the theory into tangible action.

Requirements include:

  • Master's degree in data Responsibility, Data Protection, Behavioural Psychology, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent related to field.
  • Data Protection and Data Governance certification.
  • Minimum of fifteen years' experience in data protection, digital literacy, and responsible data business processes.
  • Fifteen years experience in international humanitarian/development and business related activities.
  • Ten years' experience in data governance implementation.
  • Ten years' experience in project management.
  • Fluent in another language beyond English.

For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $81,368 to $101,710 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
