Here’s where you come in:

As Advisor - Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, you will enable vulnerable and marginalized 15-29 year-old Malian youth to become educated, healthy, and productive citizens while building their resilience to recurrent crises. The USAID/Mali Cross-Sectoral Youth Activity will focus on an integrated program that includes basic education, workforce development, media literacy to counter disinformation, youth entrepreneurship, and reproductive health. A phased exit plan should be forecasted and a sustainability strategy developed with activity partners. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project. Selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval. The project is anticipated to begin in fall 2023. If awarded, we anticipate a five-year project valued between US $25M - $49.99M.

Requirements include:

• Master's degree in education, especially with a focus on Education program or equivalent experience in education program management.
• Familiarity with USAID programs, their history and their development; mastery of USAID regulations governing such programs.
• 10+ years of extensive international development experience managing large grant-funded projects in developing countries,
• At least 5 years managing large education projects and 2+ years in senior roles
• Demonstrated outstanding leadership, effective organizational development, partnership building, managerial, team building, and communications skills.
• Strong English communication skills, both oral and written.
